What is Sorahiisi?

The Gravel Bike is a two-day gravel cycling event, which takes place on the stunning gravel and forest roads of the Koli, Lieksa and Juuya regions.

Venue

The centre of the event and the starting point for all trips is Sokos Hotel Koli Kylä(Kolintie 94) in the village of Koli.
Please note: the departure of Sorahiisi 320 has also been moved from Ylä-Koli to the village.

With the exception of the sunset run (Sorahiisi 60), all starts end at Ylä-Kolili(Ylä-Kolintie 39).

Schedule

Sorahiisi 60 km - Sunset drive

• Friday 22.8. Sokos Hotel Koli Kylä (village hotel).

• Guided group start at 17.45.

• You can also choose to leave at your own speed 17.00-18.30

• The service point at the Ahveninen bridge is open from 18.00 to 20.30.

• The Vuonislahti-Koli return ferry departs at 21.30, which means you must arrive at Vuonislahti harbour by 21.30.

Sorahiisi 320 km

• Friday 22.8.

• Start at 20.15, Sokos Hotel Koli Kylä (village hotel).

  (Koli-Vuonislahti boat at 20.30 from Koli harbour, and start from Vuonislahti harbour at about 21.15.)

Sorahiisi 160 km

• Saturday 23.8.

• Start at 9.30, Sokos Hotel Koli Kylä (village hotel).

Registration and collection of driving licence numbers for all trips:

• From the registration desk in the lobby of Sokos Hotel Koli Kylkä (village hotel)

• Fri 22.8. from 15-18.30

• Sat 23.8. at 8.30-9.15.

Registration and payment

There is a fee for the event and you must register in advance. The registration price bar will be raised on Sunday 17 August at 23.59. The pre-registration period has been extended until 23.59 on Wed 20 Aug. Click here to register.

You can pay for your registration by online banking, by debit card using the online banking app and all the most common sports apps. When registering, you will also need to enter your personal details into the system. 

If there is space at the start, you can also register on the spot at the event centre. Please note that the Sunset Run and Sorahiisi 320 have limited capacity due to boat connections - we recommend that you register for these in advance. You can pay for on-site registration by payment card, sports apps or cash (to the nearest ten).

All registrations are binding and non-refundable (unless the whole event is cancelled). However, in case of an obstacle, you can transfer your entry to another person until 23.59 on Thursday 21 August. You can change your registration details directly in the system. Please keep the confirmation message you receive, as the link to change your details is at the end of the message. In case of problems, please contact the event organiser by e-mail info@lullebiegga.fi.

Other important things

In the event of illness, you can defer your participation to another person or to the following year's event in the same way. The right to participate is available for the corresponding trip or as a partial payment for longer trips. Please send an email no later than three days after the event and be prepared to provide proof of illness or injury.

Please note that insurance is not included in the price of participation. Please remember to ensure that you are covered for injuries and intermediate injuries.

All Sorahiisi races except Sorahiisi 320 are non-competitive.

The participation fee includes

• Participant number and, for riders on the 320 route, a timing sticker to be attached to the bike.

• Food and beverage service on the route.

• First aid and transporting dropouts off the route.

• Drinks and light lunch at the finish.

• A gift available only to participants.

• Purchasing Sorahiisi products at the participant price.
